Q3. Where did you got the foundation of SEO?

A. This answer depends on your situation, but it is good to ensure that you are well-versed in the field of SEO as the employer wants to make sure before hiring you. It is good to be true with the employer as a matter of transparency and truthfulness will develop a trust in you. Whether you have been trained at your previous job or earned a certificate at an institution, you can always demonstrate to ensure you are well trained for the job.

Q4. How will you devise an effective SEO strategy?

Q10. Any clue on the Penguin update?

A. Rolled out in July, the purpose was to provide more useful, relevant, and accurate local search results.

Q13. What are backlinks?

A. Many candidates do fall for this one. Explain that backlink is what we call the links into a website from an external source. Don’t forget to mention that it should be a link earning practice rather than black hat practice.

Q14. How to measure success in SEO?

The success can be measured based on the key performance indicators (KPIs) defined by the company and it varies from company to company. For instance, increasing traffic to a web page, increasing conversions through newsletter sign up form or enquiry form, growing the number of inbound links, driving or improving traffic for a particular keyword. Basically, these factors are measured to devise the future strategy or amend the existing strategy.
